The non-profit organisation ERIKA e.V. was founded in April 2020 by various people involved in the PampelMUSE arts kindergarten in Chemnitz. The starting point was a writing and printing workshop for children and young people, which was one of the first users of Haus D in the Stadtwirtschaft as part of the KRACH - Kreativraum Chemnitz programme.  Here, children, young people and adults can work together and make the world their own by writing and drawing.

The creators at ERIKA e.V. are all about producing creative works - from text and language to the right images to the finished book, often printed as a one-off or in a small series: in the open workshop DRUCKSTUBE, children and young people from school age can regularly work on their own stories, design illustrations, produce and print linocuts and (perhaps) hold their own book in their hands at the end.
