Hands-on workshop for Karl-Mach-Stadt

FabLab Chemnitz is the most important project of Stadtfabrikanten e.V., which was founded in 2016. The members come from a wide range of educational, age and social backgrounds. Together, they see themselves as a kind of infrastructure provider and an active, democratic network.

With the FabLab Chemnitz, the association offers an open and established platform and stage that enables a creative exchange of ideas and promotes the realisation of the resulting ideas.

The association offers access to knowledge about machine-controlled production, traditional craftsmanship or general technology issues as well as methods, tools and machines - both classically analogue and digitally supported: In the FabLab, people develop, screw, tinker and test together and think and live in very different material dimensions such as 3D printing, wood, metal, plastic, textiles or electronics.
