Lehngericht Augustusburg

The Lehngericht, located right on Augustusburg’s market square, has been the town’s cultural center since 1375 and was revived as a venue in 2019 by the association "auf weiter flur" e. V. Exciting cultural and social events take place in the large ballroom, which can accommodate up to 199 people and offers ample space for a variety of events such as concerts, movie nights, readings, private parties, and much more.

Next door, in the large communal kitchen of “NEUE WIRTSCHAFT,” projects such as the Garden and Food Lab take place, where people experiment with plants and food. The project’s own market hall also fosters local exchange and networking by bringing together regional producers and local customers, creating a vibrant atmosphere and encouraging interaction through new and innovative approaches.

The Lehngericht Augustusburg wouldn’t be a maker hub if creators of all ages couldn’t get to work here. By combining traditional craft techniques with future technologies, anyone interested can let their creativity run wild in the textile, woodworking, and digital workshops and bring their passion projects to life.
