Easily Navigated with Our Wayfinding System
12,000 square meters, five buildings, two large courtyards. Plus: (currently) two entrances to the site, nine indoor and outdoor staircases, one elevator, and 60 different building entrances. Stadtwirtschaft can be quite confusing. To bring some order—and hopefully plenty of clarity—to the area, the Stadtwirtschaft team—with funding from the National Urban Development Projects program—has been working intensively on the wayfinding system.
Let's start with the sculptures at the entrances at 46 Jakobstraße and 1 Schüffnerstraße. If you're here, you're already on the right track.
At the entrance at 46 Jakobstraße (past the entrance gate), in the production yard (below the pedestrian bridge), in the event yard (by the lawn), and below the outdoor staircase of Building B (passageway toward Zietenstraße), there are four large maps that will help you find your way to the key players you’re looking for.
The buildings are color-coded. In addition, the 60 entrances to the buildings have been numbered sequentially. The key player signs indicate the best routes to reach each key player. Behind the corresponding entrances, there are additional signs and directional markers until you (hopefully) end up in front of the right door...
