Zeux

"Zeux – Materialinitiative Chemnitz" is a project of Subbotnik e. V., a sociocultural center in Chemnitz-Bernsdorf. With Zeux’s arrival in the Stadtwirtschaft, the first public space in Chemnitz dedicated to the sustainable use of resources has been created here.

The Zeux team has made it their mission to save surplus materials from the cultural, industrial, artisanal, and commercial sectors—as well as from private households—from being discarded. Instead of ending up in the trash, all these materials are collected, sorted, processed, and made available for reuse at the Stadtwirtschaft's storage. This benefits, above all, cultural professionals, initiatives, and educational institutions—as well as committed individuals—for a small fee.

As an open platform for collaborative creation, learning, and networking in cooperation with local key players, Zeux provides a space for ideas, collaboration, and sustainable practices.
